Photos of Sony’s new APS-C cameras, the A77 and A65, have leaked online. Sony original plan was to announce those cameras in July but the announcement has been delayed to late August because of the recent production issues that external suppliers had after the Tsunami-Fukushima disaster.
The Sony A77 is said to be the new top of the line for APS-C models and will replace the A700. Because of the delay, specs have not been fully disclosed but by far A77 uses a 24MP sensor that is supposed to offer very impressive ISO performance. The camera can shoot ten frames per second and is said to have an 11 cross point AF system. It can also record full HD video and has USB 3.0 connectivity. Lytro Camera: A Focus Free Digital Camera

Posted by | Last Updated : 334 days ago

An new an innovative way to take photographs is currently under development that could revolutionise the way you use your camera. It is Lytro which allows a picture’s focus to be adjusted after it is taken. Lytro is the brainchild of Dr. Ren Ng, a Stanford Ph.D whose dissertation on light-field technology five years ago was showered with awards. The Lytro is a light field camera which is much different than your standard digital shooter. It captures everything, all at once, in one photo. The image can then be manipulated to change the focus from an item in the foreground to an item in the background on the fly. This is achieved by a hyper sensitive sensor that captures all available information allowing you to tweak focus, light levels and even create 3D imagery
