In addition to its consumer-targeted IdeaPad U300s, Lenovo’s announcing its plans for a more business-oriented ultrabook today — the 14-inch ThinkPad T430u. Following the customary trend for all Lenovo ThinkPads, the T430u features the same soft-touch black matte design, but with an aluminum construction. The laptop has a 14 inch display, supports processors up to an Intel Core i7 chip, and can handle up to 1TB of storage with a hard drive or solid state disk. On the storage front, users will be able to choose from various hard drives and SSDs, Lenovo saying that the ultra-thin laptop will also be available in configurations offering 1TB of capacity. Further, it has a fingerprint reader and comes with VPro, Intel’s hardware based management and security system.

The keyboard is full-size and in the chiclet style, but Lenovo’s laptop keyboards are renowned for their comfortably sculpted keys. The laptop measures just 0.8 inches thick, weighs less than 4 pounds and gets up to 6 hours of battery life. It has the Lenovo TrackPoint system, for one thing. Lenovo ThinkPad T430u starts at $849 and will be available from Q3 2012.

The Lenovo IdeaPad S110 netbook with the Intel Atom Cedar Trail processor has not been officially announced yet, however the Chinese manufacturer unveils its latest Cedar Trail netbook with a “leaked” promotional video advertising the device. Lenovo is referring to this 10.1-inch netbook as a “mini notebook”, a title perhaps designed to distance the product from the maligned “netbook” category. The IdeaPad S110 will feature the recently released Intel Atom processor, a 10.1″ display, a 2-megapixel webcam, 1080p video playback support, integrated WiFi, a 98% full-sized keyboard and will ship in four colors.

The video itself points out that the S110 is only 16mm thick, weighing 1.15kg, with USB 3.0, and optional 720p webcam and 3G connectivity. Lenovo is making style a focus with black, blue, red, and white colors.

JBL presents its latest desktop speaker named after a percussion instrument called Djembe. The design of the JBL Jembe actually draws inspiration from the djembe, which is a traditional African drum played by hand. Like the instrument, it takes on a fairly large form with a wide top that slims down slightly as it moves down to the base. The Jembe has a built-in amplifier that delivers clean, powerful sounds when music or movies are playing.

The speakers will also feature a built-in power amplifier, with each speaker capable of putting out 6W of power, with a signal-to-noise ratio of under 80dB. The frequency response range for the Jembe speakers is from 80Hz to 20kHz. The speakers will also feature a 3.5mm input will allow you to plug in another device apart from your computer, such as an MP3 player or your smartphone. The JBL Jembe stereo desktop speaker is currently available at JBL’s website for $59.95

AT&T announced back in March that the Iconia Tab A501 would be coming to its network this summer. When the tablet was first unveiled many assumed it would be a “4G” device, but AT&T confirmed this means HSPA+, not LTE in this case. You can pick up the 16GB model for $480 outright, or if you prefer to get a discount, then be prepared to fork out $330 to go along with a 2-year contract. The Acer Iconia sports a nVidia Tegra 2 processor running at 1GHz, as well as 1GB of memory RAM and 16GB of internal storage capacity. On top of the 5-megapixel camera located on the rear, it also has a HD camera on the front which should be useful for video calls.
