Bang & Olufsen has officially unveiled it latest television offering with its flagship B&O BeoVision 7. B&O sees the BeoVision 7-55 as its new flagship LCD TV solution. Its picture quality likely to be excellent thanks to the set’s use of a direct (rather than edge) LED lighting system with local dimming technology. It has also packed in an integrated Blu-ray player which increases the amount of 3D content you’ll be able to view on your large 55in screen. Sony Ericsson Live With Walkman Unveiled

Sony Ericsson is getting back to the Walkman brand, this time with Android, in the guise of a new smartphone called the Sony Ericsson Live with Walkman. Sony Ericsson Live with Walkman is the second Walkman branded Android phone from the manufacturer. A dedicated Walkman(TM) hardware button provides instant access to the music player and consumers can also like, share and discover content through a deep Facebook(TM) integration. With it, users can instantly access Facebook through the most used areas of the phone such as the picture gallery, music player, phonebook and calendar. The Live with Walkman centers on a 3.2-inch mineral glass display and is powered by a single-core 1GHz processor matched with 380MB of RAM. The handset also comes with a front-facing camera that enables video calling, as well as with a 5-megapixel photo snapper on the back, with auto-focus and 720p HD video recording capabilities. iiyama Intros ProLite VA full-HD Monitors

Iiyama, a high-end computer monitors and television manufacturer, has just informed the availability of two new LCD monitors under the ProLite series; the 24-nch XB2472HD-B and the 27-inch X2775HDS-B. Both monitors come with VA (vertical alignment) panels that allow 178/178 degree viewing angles and multiple inputs (D-Sub, DVI and HDMI). The differences are: the iiyama ProLite XB2472HD-B has 24-inch panel and packs a stand allowing for pivot, height, tilt and swivel adjustments. While, the iiyama ProLite X2775HDS-B is a 27-inch monitor paired with built-in 2x2W speakers, single 4-port USB hub, and also a stand but capable to some tilting only. The two alsoboast of 3,000:1 (5,000,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio), 1,000:1 static contrast ratios, a piano black bezel, a native resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, an 8ms GTG response time. They have an Eco mode which lowers power consumption by up to 10%, and are backed by a three-year warranty.

Dell S2330MX monitor available now

Dell has announced yesterday two new PC monitors, the 23” S2330MX and 22” S2230MX monitors which will be the thinnest Dell monitors ever thanks to Edge LED backlighting. Just as promised, Dell has today made available for purchase its slimmest widescreen monitor, the 23-inch S2330MX. Dell is started selling its new ultra-slim monitor, comes with a one-year warranty and costs $250 . The device has incredible color quality as released by Dell videos. Contrasting colors and have the clarity that makes vision would not have switched places. This model comes with 1920×1080 resolution, 16:9 aspect ratio, LED and 2 ms response time, a contrast ratio of 1,000:1 (8,000,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio) and a typical brightness of 250 cd/m2. The 2 ms response time also suggests that Dell will be incorporating TN panels. Input connectivity includes DVI and D-SUB (VGA). A DVI-HDMI adaptor is included in the box. P50-GP08: Hitachi 3D Plasma HDTV

A total of six Hitachi Wooo TVs were announced in Japan, with the 50-inch 3D model P50-GP08 stealing the show. The P50-GP08 3D Plasma TV offers a magical auto-turn off using the motion sensor, it will automatically turn off the Plasma TV once no motion detected after 5-60 minutes in the room or the space within the TV boundary. This 50 inch screen features full HD (1920 x 1080) resolution, a 5000000:1 contrast ratio, and plasma technology. The main features though include the 3D capability and a removable 500GB hard drive. According to AV Watch, the P50-GP08 should start shipping on August 27th for about ¥220,000 (around $2,875), though there’s no word yet on whether it’ll ever make it to markets overseas.

Lenovo ThinkPad Edge E425, E425 and ThinkVision LT1421 Wide unveiled

Lenovo has announced their first AMD Llano APU powered laptops for the ThinkPad Edge family. The two laptops include the 14-inch Lenovo ThinkPad Edge E425 and the 15.6-inch Lenovo ThinkPad Edge E525. They also unveiled ThinkVision LT1421 Wide, the company’s first mobile monitor that gives mobile professionals a second screen for on-the-go use to display spreadsheets and make presentations.
Said to be almost 13% slimmer than their predecessors, the E425 and E525 come in two color versions – heatwave red and midnight black, and feature a spill-resistant keyboard, an anti-glare or glossy display. Lenovo ThinkPad E425 and E525 business laptops are equipped with up to 8GB of RAM, 750GB hard drive, a DVD writer, 4-in-1 card reader, webcam, HDMI, and optional fingerprint reader. The E425 and E525 will be available starting August 1 and both start at $549, and customers will be able to select up to an AMD A8-3500M processor. As they will use an AMD graphics chip, the notebooks will also have DirectX 11 support.

Sony Drops Google TV HDTV Prices

The price of Sony’s Google TV has seen a drop – for all its models, in fact. Sony has now dropped the price to $295, the 32 inch model has been dropped from $800 to $495, the 40 inch model from $1,000 to $723 and the $46 inch model from $1,400 to $961.. According to Sony, these price cuts don’t signify the arrival of better models coming soon – they just want to capture more market with these TVs. Sony’s Google HDTV line-up comes with built-in Blue-ray player and Wi-Fi support. Also Netflix, CNBC, Napster, Pandora and Sony Qriocity VOD players are supported by all the models. The 24-inch model boasts a CCFL backlit LCD, while the other models feature edge LED lighting for advanced viewing pleasure. The ‘Playstation-styled’ remote with a pleasing look is easy to handle.
