Benq G2420HDB LED Backlight LCD Monitor

BenQ has released a new LCD monitor, called BenQ G2420HDB. The new G2420HDB Full HD LCD display is basically the non-LED-backlit version of the G2420HDBL. The price at $196 and equipped with D-Sub and digital DVI-D port, it becomes an affordable 24-inch Full HD monitor.
As opposed to the G2420HDBL, which consumes 24W of power, the G2420HDB does not use LED backlighting, which makes it consume 49W. The more recent device also has a lower dynamic contrast ratio, namely of 40,000:1 instead of 5,000,000:1.
The BenQ G2420HDB has a glossy black finish. It includes the Senseye+Photo image technology for optimized image display.

Panasonic announce 2 New portable Digital Viera TVs in Japan

Panasonic announce 2 New portable Digital Viera TVs in Japan: The DMP-HV100 and the DMP-BV200.Both are 10.1-inch sets that sport 1024 x 600 resolutions and, while either can tune DTV over the airwaves.
The DMP-BV200 and DMP-HV100 will allow you to watch TV, DVD and Blu-ray (for the BV200 only), while playing nice with all forms of AVCHD video from various sources. Apart from that, it can also handle DivX files with aplomb from either a USB device or an SD memory card.

If you also happen to own a full Panasonic Viera Home Theater and DVR you can, once your DMP-BV200 or DMP-HV100 connected to your wireless network via a WiFi dongle (DY-WL10), receive streaming video or watch videos stored on your Panasonic DVR from the comfort of your room or in your balcony. They’re only going to be released in Japan for now, and no word if they will ever see the light of day on the other side of the Pacific.

Sony BRAVIA BX LCD TV Series With A Built-in HDD

Sony Japan has released their first ever LCD TV with built-in hard disk drive. The new Sony BRAVIA BX is available in 32″ and 22″ models and will offer users a built-in 500GB for recording TV programs, besides the usual good image quality.

The new Sony BRAVIA BX series supports a 100,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio, CCFL back-lighting, a 720p HD resolution, a 24p True Cinema, BRAVIA Engine 2, BRAVIA Sync and a 500GB of hard disk drive. In terms of audio, the BX series are also pretty OK, since we’re talking about 5.1ch audio output and SteadySound to keep audio levels normalized. . However, the Japanese BX30H differs as it has the upgraded BRAVIA Engine 3 digital processor.

LG 15-inch EL9500 OLED TV Arrives In U.S. Later This Year

LG wants to bring his 15-inch OLED TV in the U.S. by mid-year. The EL9500, is the first OLED TV production to achieve a true HD resolution, with a peak of 720p (1366×768). The EL9500 has been the world’s largest commercially available OLED display–at least in South Korea as of the end of 2009. Oled-display.net blog informed that LG staff at the ISE-2010 conference revealed that the EL9500 will be shipping stateside by the summer of 2010.
LG will come with 15-inch model, LG EL9500. It has a resolution of 1366×768 pixels, 440 cd/m2 brightness, a 0.01 ms response time, and 100000:1 contrast ratio.The OLED technology has several advantages compared with the usual liquid crystal panels (LCD). They do not need a backlight and has significantly lower power consumption.
American pricing for the set hasn’t been revealed but is likely to run under the price of the Sony XEL-1. The price for the LG model is said to sit between $2500 and $3000.

ASUS To Drop MS238H 23-Inch LED-Backlit LCD Monitor In Europe

ASUS has introduced its new 23-inch LED-backlit LCD monitor. The display measures 567 x 407 x 151 mm, has a glossy black bezel and weight is about 3.8kg. It is made in the form of monolithic panel with a circular stand behind.
The MS238H is built with HDMI input that ensures HD video signal integrity and image quality. The MS238H has a native resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, a maximum brightness of 250 cd/m2. The MS238H auto adjusts the luminance of the backlight for better display according to the image content and improves the dynamic contrast ratio to 10000000:1, which results in more realistic depictions of night scenes

LG serie 1 retro classic TV

It seems that the guys at LG are going back to the future with their latest TV. LG has unveils retro classic TV, called LG Serie 1 television. The TV uses a aged CRT record with a 4:3 aspect comparative measure cathode ray blood vessel.
