Epson unveils new EB series compact projectors

Epson has just introduced the EB series of compact projectors into the Middle East. The EB-1880, EB-1860 and EB-1840W projectors are powered by Epson’s 3LCD technology. This new series does not only offer high brightness and a range of helpful features at an affordable price, the total cost of ownership is extremely low, because the projectors offer low power consumption combined with a long lamp life. Powered by Epson’s 3LCD technology, the projectors provide a vibrant, high-quality picture, thanks to an equally high White and Colour Light Output of up to 4,000 lumens and a contrast ratio of 2,500:1. Sound is provided by a built-in speaker, with the EB-1880 delivering up to 10W and the EB-1860 and EB-1840W providing 5W; while the 3-in-1 USB display feature means a single cable is all that’s needed for audio, visual and mouse control.

The EB-1880 features a wide range of inputs, including HDMI and all the models in the series have a direct connection for Epson’s ELP-DC06 USB document camera to give a close-up view of documents or 3D objects.

Samsung Electronics: Plan To Unveil Google TV Next Year

According to a recent report by Reuters, Samsung and Google are in talks about producing Samung TVs with Google TV built in, and the company has said that we will see the first device at an event next year. Yoon Boo-keun, president of Samsung’s visual display division, said the company is at a final stage of discussion with Google Inc. (GOOG) to develop a television using the search giant’s software platform.

Google and samsung has always kept good relations of cooperation. Samsung has been held two in its flagship smartphone version embedded in the official Android system. Therefore, Google is likely to produce Google TV official permission samsung equipment, to ensure that the software and hardware perfect coordination. Google TV — which currently comes built-in on certain Sony television models and on Logitech International set-top boxes — allows consumers to access online videos and websites on their TVs, as well as specialized apps such as video games.

JBL Jembe Stereo Desktop Speaker

JBL presents its latest desktop speaker named after a percussion instrument called Djembe. The design of the JBL Jembe actually draws inspiration from the djembe, which is a traditional African drum played by hand. Like the instrument, it takes on a fairly large form with a wide top that slims down slightly as it moves down to the base. The Jembe has a built-in amplifier that delivers clean, powerful sounds when music or movies are playing.

The speakers will also feature a built-in power amplifier, with each speaker capable of putting out 6W of power, with a signal-to-noise ratio of under 80dB. The frequency response range for the Jembe speakers is from 80Hz to 20kHz. The speakers will also feature a 3.5mm input will allow you to plug in another device apart from your computer, such as an MP3 player or your smartphone. The JBL Jembe stereo desktop speaker is currently available at JBL’s website for $59.95

AirGo Outdoor Speaker with Airport Express Dock

Russound has just released its AirGo Outdoor Sound Station that’s the first outdoor speaker system to tout Apple’s AirPlay music streaming technology via the attachment of an AirPort Express device.The weather resistant speaker is perfectly happy to sit outside in the rain and blast your tunes, but since it’s still tethered to an AC outlet for power, you’ll probably want to bring it inside before the floodwaters begin to rise. With the AirPort Express and AirPlay, the music from an iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch, Mac or PC fills the air with full range sound quality. In addition, users can stream music from iTunes, Pandora or any other music service.

The AirGo Outdoor Sound Station measures 12.6″ (H) x 12.9″ (W) x 10.2″ (D), and weighs 16.25 lbs. Power is supplied by the AC cord, conveniently stored for easy access onboard the AirGo. The AirGo Outdoor Sound Station is UL Certified for use in outdoor environments. This specialized speaker system, however, doesn’t run cheap and is priced at $399.

LG intros CF3DAT 3D projector with 200″ viewing surface

LG today introduced its newest 3D projector-CF3DAT in the Korean market. This brand new LG 3D projector has Full HD (1920 × 1080 pixels), 1250 ANSI brightness level which is claimed 6 xs lighter than similar projectors, the ability to transform 2D into 3D, and TV tuner. The CF3DAT will make use of the Film Patterned Retarder (FPR) display technology so that you can view it with LG’s own polarized 3D glasses without having to rely on shutter-type 3D glasses that are more expensive and heavier, of course.

The CINEMA 3D projector can project a huge 200-inch viewing surface. The projector is bright enough to be used in large living rooms, museums, auditoriums and other venues. The CF3DAT will be offered in Korea and the global version is the CF3DAA and it will venture outside of Korea is in the first half of 2012. Sadly, LG has yet to announce pricing information for the CF3DAT.

Logitech releasing Mini Boombox wireless speaker for mobile devices

Logitech has quietly introduced the Mini Boombox, a compact speaker accessory. The Mini Boombox has been designed to be used as either a stand-alone speaker or in conjunction with a mobile device as a speakerphone using its built-in microphone for phone calls or video conferencing. Logitech says the Mini Boombox has a specially designed acoustic chamber that lets you enjoy great sound with enhanced bass.

The Mini Boombox has a NiMH battery which which can be charged via a USB connection, enabling up to 10 hours of playback on a single charge, and includes a microphone so you can use it as a speakerphone. On the top of the Mini Boombox is a backlit touchscreen control panel that makes it easy to adjust your settings even in low light conditions

Nokia and Monster team up for Purity HD Stereo Headset

Nokia is announcing that it will introduce new earphones and headphones as part of the Nokia Purity line. The on-ear Nokia Purity HD Stereo Headset by Monster and thein-ear Nokia Purity Stereo Headset by Monster were each made official at Nokia World 2011 this morning. The in-ear version comes with five variable buds for lugholes of all sizes, weigh just 18g and come in black, white, cyan or fuchsia. The HD Headset weighs 180g and come in the same colour variations. They’re designed to work with the Lumia handset but will be compatible with other audio devices with standard 3.5mm jack.

Both enable the user to immerse themselves in a personal world of music stored on their Nokia mobile and from the cloud. They will be available for between €100 to €200 when the phones go on sale this quarter.

PlayStation 3D Display due Nov 13

Sony has confirmed that the PlayStation 3D Display will go on sale November 13. The official Playstation blog has announced that the $499 24 inch display will begin shipping to stores and to pre-orders on November 13. The company unveiled this brand new 3D monitor with PlayStation certificate in the E3 event held earlier in June.

It has curved sides which mirrors the PS 3 console, Xperia PLAY and PSP, and it fits in easily with other PlayStation products. The PlayStation 3D display utilizes the new SimulView technology, which allows two players to play together and get a fullscreen view on the single display. The monitor has a 24-inch 3D display with two HDMI 1.4 inputs, a stereo headphone output interface and one cable input; thus it supports Full HD 1080p resolution of 1920 x 1080 and 240 Hz rate of refresh. This product also has Edge LED back-lighting, built-in speakers, a subwoofer for enhancement of the audio.

ViewSonic’s New Ultra Portable LED Projector Line

ViewSonic on Monday announced two new ultra-portable LED projectors – the PLED-W200 and PLED-W500. Ideal for the business traveler or on-the-road presenter, this ultra portable and energy-efficient projector line features miniature form factors and 20,000-hour long-life LED light source. Both projectors packs 3D-ready capabilities and are capable of displaying with a 120Hz frame rate. The projectors even contain USB ports, SD card readers and the PLED-W500 even packs 1GB of onboard internal memory for content storage purposes, and presenting without the use of a computer. The W200 is capable of displaying 250 ANSI lumens and a 2000:1 contrast ratio, while the W500 comes with 500 ANSI lumens and a 6000:1 contrast ratio.

As far as portability is concerned, the PLED-W200 weighs in at less than one pound, while the PLED-W500 is less than three pounds.
