In association with Lucasfilm Ltd. and VoiceSkins.com TomTom brings official Star Wars voices to TomTom navigation devices for the very first time. An authentic sounding Vader voice tells you where to go and leads you down the path to the Dark Side and your final destination.
The Darth Vader voice also features original sound effects from the classic films, including lightsaber sounds and TIE fighter flybys. John Williams’ unforgettable Imperial March music is embedded into certain sections of the navigation commentary. In addition, the company unveiled an online, Webcam-based Flash game (pictured) that lets players compete to win a Yoda-themed standalone navigation device.
You will be able to choose from C-3PO in June, Yoda in July, and Han solo in August. The voices will all sell for £ 7,95 and you can get free content for start screens, car icons and more to go along with the voices.
If you’re not a Star Wars fan, you can add your own voice to Ovi Maps instead. To hear clips of the voices – and to find out more about them and the Star Wars game – visit http://www.tomtom.com/news/www.tomtom.com/starwars
