Dell has announced that the Latitude XT3, a convertible tablet PC, is now available. Rather than create a tablet with a laptop dock that is sold separately like the Asus Transformer, Dell’s XT3 is a full-sized laptop with out-of-box tablet functionality. Dell Latitude XT3 will have a rotating 13.3-inch display, 1366×768 pixel multi-touch display, and will be powered by either Intel Core i3, i5 or i7 processor with integrated Intel HD Graphics 3000 graphics chipset and HD webcam. Other specs include: Windows 7 operating system, up to 8GB of RAM, 250/320GB HDD or 256GB SSD, optional optical drive, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, optional mobile broadband support (including WiMAX), GPS, optional Bluetooth 3.0, RJ-45,3x USB 2.0 (1x USB/eSATA combo), VGA, and HDMI output. It also comes with a DVD drive (available via XT3 Media Base or E-Modular Bay II), a memory card reader, 34 mm ExpressCard slot, SmartCard Reader, while a fingerprint reader is optional. Dell Latitude XT3 has Battery options include 6- and 9-cell batteries.
