Pioneer Electronics (USA) Inc. announced its new BDR-206MBK Blu-ray Disc recorder. The new Pinoneer Blu-ray writer writes and rewrites all CD, DVD and Blu-ray formats including BD-R XL and BD-RE XL.BDXL more than doubles the current maximum Blu-ray Disc storage capacity. It is ideal for various commercial uses such as video and broadcast archiving and storage, capturing and playback of high definition programming or data archiving needs.
HP has just launched a new special pick up of HP dv6 laptops with styling cues taken from Rossignol, the mountain lifestyle brand for snow sports fans. The HP dv6 laptops models has two versions, the Attraxion VIII Echo for women and the Freeride S7 for men. These are products for skiing fanatics who want to express their love of their sport and their lifestyle and have unlimited entertainment at their fingertips. The HP Pavilion dv6 Rossignol edition notebook PCs can also be customised with a choice of exclusive wallpapers, designed by Rossignol.
Lenovo has announced two new notebooks and one new desktop that use Intel’s upcoming Sandy Bridge processors. The notebooks are the 14-inch Y460p and 15.6-inch Y560p which will use the newer chips, up to and including the quad 2GHz Core i7 in the Y560p. They also pack some serious audio punch, which is made possible by the JBL speakers and Dolby Home Theater audio system. Lenovo is already prepared to commit to pricing for the notebooks, which will start from $849. They should ship on January 11, or about a week after Intel unveils Sandy Bridge at CES
PeeWee PC has just released a new portable computer, the Pivot 2.0, that can function as a touchscreen tablet or a netbook. The netbooks are ruggedized to an extent to help them survive the spill and bumps that go along with being used by kids. The PeeWee Pivot has a 10.1 inch resistive touchscreen display which can be folded down over the keyboard for use in tablet mode. The standard model comes with a 1024 x 600 pixel screen, but a higher resolution 1366 x 768 display option is also available.
The Advent Vega his a new Android tablet with a 10 inch display available from Dixons in the UK. The Advent Vega is an Android 2.2 tablet that will begin to ship in the UK on October 18th. This device is said to run the Android 2.2 operating system, and will be powered by a 1GHz NVIDIA Tegra T20. The tablet specs were put online at Modaco and the tablet will be launched by PC World and Currys with a price tag of ÂŁ249.
MSI has introduced its new F-series notebook in US, called MSI FX610. Rather than Intel’s Core i5 in the FX600, however, the FX610 uses an AMD Phenom II chip. It packs MSI’s own GPU Boost and Cinema Pro multimedia technologies to manually switch graphics modes, optimize screen color and clarity, and instantly rev up graphics performance.
Samsung introduced its new 2.5-inch S2 Portable 3.0 external hard drive that the new SuperSpeed USB 3.0 interface. The S2 Portable 3.0 drive spins at 7,200RPM and features SuperSpeed USB 3.0 that can transfer content at speeds to up to 5Gbps as compared to USB 2.0’s 480Mbps.  Like all portable storage devices, the S2 come in multiple color options, but it is their performance and silent operation that truly give them their appeal and make them stand out.

Asus has officially launched its U33/U53 bamboo laptops in the UK, pitching the new range at the green consumer.
