Archos has started shipping a second version of its 7-inch home tablet, the Archos 7 Home tablet. The Archos 7 Home Tablet has been revised and is now available in v2, with some good improvements to the original. The processor gets upgraded from a 600MHz chip (RK2808) to a 800MHz chip (RK2818), still Rockchip based and is capable of running at 1GHz, but is clocked down for better battery life, less heat. The Archos 7 Home Tablet v2 also received an accelerometer, and includes a 7-inch (800 x 480) touchscreen, 8GB of built-in storage, a microSDHC card slot, 802.11 b/g WiFi, an USB port and a leg stand.
