Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Hybrid official arrives in Q2 for $1,599

Ahead of the rush of CES, Lenovo has just revealed its latest ThinkPad products with ThinkPad X1 Hybrid. The Hybrid X1 looks exactly like the current ThinkPad X1 — the Gorilla Glass display, and extremely comfortable keyboard. Measuring less than 0.6-inches and weighing less than four pounds, the 13.3-inch ThinkPad X1 Hybrid goes heavy on performance by doubling the CPU performance and quadrupling the graphics performance of previous Lenovo 13-inch laptops. The Instant Media Mode functions off of a a second-gen Core i7 processor (2.7-3.4GHz), up to 16 GB of memory and a Linux-based operating system. MOreover, the Lenovo X1 Hybrid also bring up to 8GB of RAM, USB 3.0, webcam and microphone for video conferencing capabilities, Dolby Home Theater v4 sound, HDMI output and Intel Wireless Display (WiDi) technology. Lenovo has said it will be for sale during the second quarter of 2012 for $1,599.

Lenovo’s U1 hybrid tablet hits the FCC

The Lenovo U1 is finally getting the way to retail reality. The hybrid tablet PC has been submitted to the FCC, the full report was released online Sunday evening by the FCC. Lenovo announced the U1 hybrid tablet/netbook combo earlier, and officially launched it at CES this January. The U1 consists of a tablet and a netbook-like keyboard dock. Originally, the U1 was powered by Windows when it was docked, alongside a custom Skylight Linux OS in tablet mode. Since then, Lenovo replaced Skylight with Android 2.

The tablet weighs 1.6 pounds, runs on 1GHz Snapdragon processor, 512MB of DDR1 RAM, 16GB SSD. The Dock weighs 3.8 pounds (with the tablet attached), Intel Core2 Duo U4100 processor, 4GB DDR3 RAM, 128GB SSD. It will run on Windows 7.

VIZIO Tablet Pre-order at Amazon for a Price of $349.99

Vizio’s 8-inch Android tablet has gone up for pre-order at Amazon. Pre-orders through Vizio itself began at the start of the month, with the tablet expected to begin shipping on July 18. In fact, Amazon has it for $30 cheaper than Vizio. They’re carrying the device for $350 compared to Vizio’s $380. The Vizio’s 8-inch tablet has an 8-inch screen, which is very rare in today’s tablet market. It doesn’t run Android Honeycomb, the tablet-optimized version of the OS, but rather Gingerbread, a release designed for phones. MOreover, It can access to the Android Marketplace, Google apps.

NEC VERSAPRO VK15V/TM-C WINDOWS 7 TABLET

Introducing VersaPro VK15V/TM-C, a tablet from NEC Japan which isa based on a new Atom. The tablet is set to feature capabilities fairly similar to those of today’s netbooks. Running on Windows 7 Professional 32Bit, this new Tablet is powered by an Oak Trail Atom Z670 (1.5GHz) with 2GB of DDR2 RAM. Said panel has a native resolution of 1,280 x 800 pixel resolution, meaning that the Full HD capabilities of the Atom platform won’t be fully exploited. Fortunately, an HDMI port will let one stream to an auxiliary monitor or HDTV.

Moreover the VersaPro VK15V/TM-C brings 64GB of SSD Bluetooth and is armed with Bluetooth and WiFi. The NEC VersaPro tablet will be made available this summer in Japan, although the price is still a mystery.

Apple launches new iMac computers

Apple has officially announced the arrival of their next generation iMac all-in-one desktop. The new iMac line will also include new Thunderbolt ports that were introduced earlier this year in its MacBook Pro laptop line. Thunderbolt is an input/output technology that supports displays and devices. Thunderbolt ports are similar to USB ports but about 20 times faster, according to Apple. Available starting from today, the new iMacs are available in four different configurations, with prices starting from $1,199.

The new iMac also includes a built-in FaceTime HD camera, and Apple’s FaceTime software for HD video calling right out of the box to other FaceTime devices such as the iPhone or iPad. It features an IPS LED-backlit high resolution display, an SD card slot and users have the choice of Apple’s Magic Mouse or Magic Trackpad for pointing and clicking.

Toshiba New Tecra A11 Business Notebook Announced

Toshiba has recently dropped their newest business notebook for the European market. Known as the Tecra A11-1H. This laptop is based on Intel’s previous-generation mobile platform, the Intel Core i3-380M, which has a clock speed of 2.53 GHz and runs Windows 7 Professional (64bit). The Toshiba Tecra A11-1HZ is now available for purchase in Germany for 769 Euro (about $1,084)

The A11-1HZ has an LED-backlit (1366 x 768) display, a 2.53 GHz Core i3-380M processor, 4GB of RAM, a 320GB 7200 RPM hard drive, Intel integrated graphics, Gigabit Ethernet, 802.11 b/g/n WiFi, Blueooth 2.1, a DVD writer, an Express Card slot, a HD webcam, and a mini DisplayPort output.

The Samsung Sliding PC 7 series is now up for pre-order from several retailers in the US for prices ranging between $670 to $760. The Samsung Sliding PC 7 is a PC which can function as either a notebook or a tablet, because its slide-out keyboard can hangs out under the screen. Samsung says that this design makes the Sliding Series computers much more portable than old-generation convertible tablet style laptops. The Samsung Sliding PC 7 comes with a 10.1-inch capacitive touchscreen with a resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels, weighs 2.2 pounds and measures 0.8 inches in thickness.

Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 unveiled at CTIA

The Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 is expected to launch in a few hours’ time in Samsung Unpacked Event in Florida. Samsung earlier made an announcement at its Facebook page that read, “What’s your Tab life? 78910,” clearly pointing towards its intentions to reveal a Tab with 8.9-inch display. PocketNow has managed to obtain two images which show what the Galaxy Tab 8.9 looks like.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 would probably the first tablet that introduces its customized user interface (UI) on top of Android 3.0 (Honeycomb), such as the Live Panel homescreen and the Mini Apps Tray.

Toshiba’s 10.1 Android Tablet, Photos And Specifications

Toshiba’s 10.1-Inch tablet is getting a spot in Amazon’s marketplace before it even gets a name. The guys over at Android Community spotted the Toshiba 10.1 Android Tablet on Amazon, with some photos and specifications on this new 10.1 inch tablet. While there are not many details, it does say that it sports a Tegra 2 dual-core processor from NVIDIA, a 5 megapixel rear camera and 2 megapixel front camera.

In the connectivity department we have Wi-Fi b/g/n, Bluetooth, a miniUSB port as well as a full-size USB port, an SD card slot and HDMI out port. The rubberized back panel is user-interchangeable, as is the battery, though there’s no word on how long it should last. The Toshiba Tablet has a gyroscope, accelerometer, e-compass, GPS receiver, and ambient light sensor.There are no details on pricing or availability as yet
