The hybrid tablet PC has been submitted to the FCC, the full report was <a href="https://fjallfoss.fcc.gov/oetcf/eas/reports/ViewExhibitReport.cfm?mode=Exhibits&#038;RequestTimeout=500&#038;calledFromFrame=N&#038;application_id=509756&#038;fcc_id=%27GKRPIMU1WB">released online</a> Sunday evening by the FCC. Lenovo announced the U1 hybrid tablet/netbook combo earlier, and officially launched it at CES this January. The U1 consists of a tablet and a netbook-like keyboard dock.   Originally, the U1 was powered by Windows when it was docked, alongside a custom Skylight Linux OS in tablet mode.  Since then, Lenovo replaced Skylight with Android 2.</p>

They’re carrying the device for $350 compared to Vizio’s $380. The Vizio&#8217;s 8-inch tablet has an 8-inch screen, which is very rare in today’s tablet market. It doesn’t run Android Honeycomb, the tablet-optimized version of the OS, but rather Gingerbread, a release designed for phones. MOreover, It can access to the Android Marketplace, Google apps.</p>

The tablet is set to feature capabilities fairly similar to those of today&#8217;s netbooks. Running on Windows 7 Professional 32Bit, this new Tablet is powered by an Oak Trail Atom Z670 (1.5GHz) with 2GB of DDR2 RAM. Said panel has a native resolution of 1,280 x 800 pixel resolution, meaning that the Full HD capabilities of the Atom platform won&#8217;t be fully exploited. Fortunately, an HDMI port will let one stream to an auxiliary monitor or HDTV.<br />

The guys over at Android Community spotted the Toshiba 10.1 Android Tablet on Amazon, with some photos and specifications on this new 10.1 inch tablet. While there are not many details, it does say that it sports a Tegra 2 dual-core processor from NVIDIA, a 5 megapixel rear camera and 2 megapixel front camera.<br />

In the connectivity department we have Wi-Fi b/g/n, Bluetooth, a miniUSB port as well as a full-size USB port, an SD card slot and HDMI out port. The rubberized back panel is user-interchangeable, as is the battery, though there’s no word on how long it should last.
