AIS RPDA37 Rugged Military PDA

AIS have recently released a new rugged PDA which is called the AIS RPDA37 Ultra Rugged Mobile PDA, this is complaint to the MIL-810F military standard. The RPDA37 has been designed to withstand shocks, vibrations, water, excessive temperatures, dust and drops of 60 inches. Dimensions of AIS RPDA37 are 155×96×42 mm and weight 650g.

Powered by Marvell PXA270 624MHz processor, the RPDA37 has 256MB RAM and 256MB ROM (up to 1GB). AIS’ PDA features a 3.7-inch 480×640 LCD display with 4-wire resistive touch panel, Bluetooth, WiFi 802.11b/g, optional GPS receiver, and optional GPRS/3G/3.5G connectivity. The RPDA37 has two USB host ports, a RS-232 port, an Ethernet port, a CF slot, a microSD slot, a headphones jack and a microphone jack. The OS used for the RPDA37 is either Windows CE 5.0 or Windows Mobile 6.1.

Huawei shows E398 triple-mode LTE modem

Huawei has launched the E398 modem at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. The E398 is the world’s first triple-mode LTE modem compatible with all three major network standards: LTE, UMTS, and GSM.  The triple-mode modem gives high speed LTE access while seamlessly switching to other standards (UMTS or GSM) when LTE is not available.
The modem is based on Qualcomm’s MDM9200 chipset and The modem also supports multiple mainstream LTE frequencies.
The Huawei E398 modem will be initially launched in the world’s first LTE/GSM shared network in Sweden operated by Net4Mobility, a joint infrastructure venture between Tele2 Sweden and Telenor Sweden.

Sony STR-DN1010 3D compatible A/V receiver outed

The Sony STR-DN1010 3D A/V Receiver was spotted today  as  it’s the first receiver we’ve seen announced that supports pass-through of the new 3D video signals. The STR-DN1010 also features HDMI standby pass-through, allowing a user to continue to pass a/v signals to a display even when the receiver is turned off. There’s also an HDMI audio return channel, which lets the user send TV audio to the receiver with a single cable. Sony says the DN1010 will be available in June for about $500

NOTION INK TO SHOWCASE ADAM TABLET AT MWC 2010

Notion Ink is about to showcase their latest prototype tablet ‘Adam’ at this year’s Mobile World Congress. The original tablet was showcased during CES 2010. This tablet has features a 10.1-inch matte touchscreen display with resolution of 1024×600 pixel and provides a full color or as a high contrast, as well as an ambient light sensor. Notion Ink will be in Barcelona starting February 15th, ready to answer all questions about Adam, their latest Tegra-based device

The device boasts the dual-core ARM CORTEX -A9 processor, the NVIDIA Tegra 2 chipset, the swiveling 3MP autofocus camera, the microSD label slot, an accelerometer sensor, an ambient light sensor, A-GPS, 3G, WiFi, Bluetooth, 3x USB ports, an HDMI port, as well as runs on Android 2.1 OS. Speaking of battery, the slate features the latest-gen NVIDIA Tegra chipset and Pixel Qi’s innovative low-power display, which is why the Adam pad could run for 2-3x longer than the iPad manages.Unfortunately, there’s no word on pricing and release date yet.
