Pioneer Computers Australia has launched its new Mobile Internet Device (MID), called Dreambook ePad B1. New ePad Dreambook B1 was designed to easily navigate the Internet, reading e-books/documents and communicate via the Skype. It is formed upon a 533MHz Samsung processor and using Windows CE OS. Measuring 198mm x 118mm x 15mm and weighing 500g, the device offers a 7-inch 800 x 400 touchscreen display
The Pioneer Computers DreamBook ePad B1 is equipped with a 1GB RAM, a 2GB SSD, a microSD card slot (up to 32GB), a music/video player, a web browser, email support, an e-book reader. A 2100 mAh battery with enables up to 12 hours of battery life. Optionally, it is able brings GPS, 3.5G module, and web camera.

ASUS just introduced  the Cine5 “the world’s most compact five-channel speaker” .The Cine5’s design incorporates a nice array of speaker drivers into an organically curved body. Capable of offering great audio quality in a compact design, the Cine5 boasts a frequency response of around 80 to 20,000Hz,

The whole thing measures in at just under 15-inches but still sports five speakers along with 28W max amp. 5.1 inputs come way of 3.5mm jacks.Asus is specifically targeting gamers with the Cine5, promising that the improved positional audio will help gameplay accuracy and immersion, especially in 3D games like FPSes when its important to quickly identify the direction of a sound source. Samsung Beat R1 now priced

Samsung has finally announced pricing and availability for their Beat R1 media players. Measuring a mere 8.9mm thin while tipping the scales at 50 grams, the R1 is smaller than a credit card while cramming in a 2.6″ LCD touchscreen display.

The R1 features a 2.6-inch OVGA touch display, laudable file support (MP3, WMA, OGG, WAV, PNG, GIF, SWF, WMV, H.264, DivX, MPEG4, FM radio–tuner and recorder, Bluetooth 2.0 support, and a hard-to-describe DJ-scratching widget that lets you play DJ with your music.
It promises up to 50 hours for audio playback or 4 hours for video. The goodies, it has Samsung’s fantastic Digital Natural Sound Engine (DNSe) 3.0 sound enhancement technology.

The R1, which should be shipping any day now, comes in 8GB It promises ($149.99) and 16GB ($179.99) available in pink, black and silver colors.

New Potato Technologies has announced their FLPR universal remote control which is a new ‘accessory+app’ that transforms iPhone and iPod touch into a universal remote control.
FPLR claim that it’s 14,000 entries in it’s device database makes this system far easier than others as there is no need to program each of the devices. FLPR is apparently dead easy to set up. After purchasing the FLPR infrared interface and popping it into the iPhone/iPod touch dock connector, users simply download the free FLPR app from the App Store. Once the app is launched, choose the device “type,” select “brand,” “name it” and “use it.”

This Aiptek projector is combines HD camcorder function and a pico projector. The High Definition Video recording of Aiptek PocketCinema Z20 is supports 720p HD video 1280×720p at 30fps and 5MP resolution in still images. Microsoft Courier coming 2H 2010: Tegra 2 based digital journal

Microsoft apparently continues to work on its Courier project as it develops this e-book reader and digital journal. The Microsoft Courier is “digital journal” that is under one inch think, under half a kg in weight and will just be the size of a large index card (or a moleskin notebook, for that matter) when folded up.
It is powered by NVIDIA’s Tegra 2 chipset with the same OS – presumably meaning Windows CE 6 based – as the Zune HD, Pink and Windows Mobile 7.
It will come with a web browser, e-mail software, an address book, to-do list and calendar, and will function as a mobile organizer. Other Courier features might include a built-in camera and a headset jack. A shipping time frame of “Q3/Q4″ was offered, but no word yet on pricing.

Panasonic new high-tech massage chair looks very, very comfortable

Panasonic Corp will launch a massage chair on April 21 featuring a built-in ceramic heater to help relieve fatigue. Special “balls” are used to heat up your back, waist, shoulders and neck area to up to 40C. MOreover. It features a pair of airbags that alternately expand and contract to massage the muscles of the pelvis, and an improved mechanism to stretch the area around the shoulder blades.
You’ll be able to choose from 6 different massage sessions, and be able to do that via a lazy man’s favorite tool – a remote control. The Panasonic be available in two colors – black and white. The chair will retail for around 400,000 yen. Panasonic plans to manufacture 2,000 units a month and will target marketing at middle-aged consumers. Unfortunately it’s currently only available in Japan.
