Samsung’s Next 4412 Exynos SoC to Be Quad-Core?

It seems the first details on Samsung’s Exynos Quad-core System-on-Chip (SoC) have trickled out. Samsung had recently revealed the Exynos 4212, a dual core ARM Cortex-A9 processor clocking at 1.5GHz; and now code from the Kernel Git page seems to confirm the existence of a certain Exynos 4412 SoC which is said to be a quad-core one. This is still the ARM Cortex A9 and even 1.5 GHz, but this time he has four hearts. It is also reported that the Galaxy S III will come with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, 1GB of RAM and a 4.6 inch Super AMOLED Plus HD display witth a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels.

Rumor has it that the Samsung III is also rumored to feature a 12 megapixel camera, and offer support for NFC and LTE.

Integralus Digital Watch Concept

For you who ove watches, then you should check out this concept watch by Art Lebedev Studio. The very unique design of the Integralus watch has a screen that is split into two segments, one for hours and one for minutes each with its own battery, which then snap together to lock your watch in place. As for the band, which comes in different colors made of elastic bands come in three sizes while body is mad of milled aluminum. Unfortunately as the design is just a concept at the moment no information on pricing or worldwide availability has been released as yet.

Philips creates indoor Urban Beehive concept

Philips’ just unveiled a new concept for an urban beehive that would allow anyone to become an amateur bee keeper. The Urban Beehive concept is a part of the Microbial Home Project – Philips’s effort at creating a domestic ecosystem of innovative design solutions to cleaning, energy, human waste, lighting and food preservation.

The hive consists of a smart-looking central chamber pre-loaded with honeycomb frames. Bees enter through an entrance above the potted flower and can be observed through the glass partition a la ant farms. The pull cord at the bottom releases smoke to calm the colony while you collect honey. Philips touts the benefits of pollination, a fresh honey supply, and the educational interest of having a hive at your fingertips. The Philips beehive is just a concept for now. With bee colonies on the decline, a proliferation of urban beehives could help out in the push for bee preservation.

Two pulsating rings of light, a cool futuristic design & LEDs curving around your wrist, Kisai Seven brings an ultra-modern look to what is essentially a regular watch. The Kisai Seven watch is most definitely inspired by Tron, and is based on an earlier concept design by Scott Galloway unveiled last year. The inner ring is the hour hand and the outer ring is the minute hand. There is a dark void section in each ring that literally points to the time.

The lights trailing off around the wrist are not just for show either, they help you pin down the exact minute by lighting up in segments. ZionEyez now has a prototype w/ a 720p camera and 8GB of memory, along with micro-USB and Bluetooth connectivity for livecasting to Qik or LiveStream. ZionEyez is calling Eyez “a new revolution in social media technology,” allowing some exhibitionistic gadget lover to wear these video-shooting glasses that transmit their images via Bluetooth to an Eyez app on an iPhone or Android device. From there, the video would be streamed through wireless networks to video sites online, where it could all be viewed live.

Availability for these $199 HD Ray-Ban clones is currently slated for fall (assuming ZionEyez hits its funding target), but you can pre-order your pair for $150 on Zion’s Kickstarter page.
