At CES 2012, Toshiba showed off a convertible Windows 7 notebook called the PortĂ©gĂ© M930. The notebook has an articulating hinge to switch between notebook and slate mode. One just has to push the screen until it is facing the other way round and then fold it down over the keyboard. This swivel action is sturdier than the sliding action type mechanism seen on other such convertible devices. The laptop has a 13.3 inch display, an Intel Core i5 processor, Intel HD 3000 graphics, 4GB of RAM, and a 256GB solid state disk. There are 2 USB 2.0 ports, a full-sized Ethernet and HDMI out ports, and a full SD slot for connectivity. There is also a pointing stick on the right edge of the hybrid device that two mouse buttons.
It is rather heavy though as it weighs at 4.2 pounds and is 1.1-inch thick, Sadly, For now, there is no word yet on the price and availability of this hybrid device
