Lenovo Revives Hybrid Notebook with IdeaPad YOGA

Lenovo today announced its IdeaPad YOGA notebook. Lenovo‘s new IdeaPad YOGA is being marketed as a four-in-one device. The computer has a 13.3 inch multitouch display and an unusual hinge that lets you not only use the YOGA as a notebook or a tablet, but which also lets you prop up the computer using the keyboard like a kick-stand. The edge-to-edge glass, 1600 x 900-resolution panel can support up to ten points of input, and was very responsive to swipes from the sides. The IdeaPad YOGA will come with several configuration options including Core i3, i5 and i7 processors, and will run on the Windows 8 operating system. Moreover. the slate will feature 8GB of RAM to 256GB, USB 2.0 and 3.0 ports, full SD card slot and full HDMI port and a battery that boasts 8 hours of usage time

It weighs “less than 1.5kg,” or 3.3 pounds, making it heavier than some Ultrabooks. The IdeaPad YOGA multimode notebook will be available in the second half of 2012 with an estimated starting retail price of $1,199.
