Toshiba has just released a new TV in Japan called the REGZA 19P2 TV with internal battery in Japan this week. As the model name hints, the TV has a 19-inch screen and is LED backlit to save power.It has a feature that makes it stand apart from other TVs – it features a removable internal battery that’s capable of giving you 5 hours of continuous entertainment on your TV in the event of a blackout in your home.Toshiba has also included a “Peak Shift” button on the 19P2 remote control to easily switch the TV from AC to Battery mode.
The 19-inch TV features a 1Seg digital TV tuner, a LED backlight panel, an HDMI port, a 1366 x 768 resolution, a 1000:1 contrast ratio. The TV also has a wireless remote control and a 720p HD resolution. The set needs 30W in use and 0.4W in standby mode. Extra batteries can be purchased for about $86 (7,000 Yen) each. The 19P2 model will be available this summer in Japan. The Toshiba REGZA 19P2 TV will be available this summer in Japan for 50,000 Yen ($617).
