Samsung has officially introduced its upcoming LCD monitor in Japan that called the Samsung P2770FH. The Samsung P2770FH is boast of ultra fast 1ms response time! In terms of video quality, the screen has a native resolution of 1,920 x 1,080 pixels. It suits for a hard-core gamer who are looking for some really nice gaming-grade monitor then the latest from the house of Samsung easily fits the bill.

The monitor also features a brightness of 300 cd/m2 and a dynamic contrast ratio of 70,000:1 (1000:1 contrast ratio) and 170/160 degrees viewing angle.. Samsung P2770FH has D-Sub, DVI and HDMI connectors and weight of 5.8kg (without stand). No word on pricing, but the Samsung P2770FH should start shipping in Japan in September.
Update : Expected to be available October 2010 for around $400.

“I bought this monitor as a primary display for my desktop and laptops including a macbook. At first I used VGA and was not happy with sectional blurriness then I switched to DVI and the monitor is now very sharp across the entire panel. Unfortunately not all my pc’s have VGA so I have to keep some on VGA with KVM switch but it is tolerable. I recommend using you main machine on DVI the rest put on KVM switch into VGA port . Very good desktop real estate. Overall happy and priced well below compared to buying a real 30″ monitor”

“I got this monitor for a great deal at a local warehouse store. It looks amazing and it’s huuuuge. And surprisingly, it’s super light (which makes it easy to pick up / install). One of the things I like about it is the audio out and optical audio out ports on the back of the monitor. This makes it so that I can plug in my speakers directly into the monitor as opposed to the back of my computer and it’s easy to use multiple HDMI devices without having to mess with audio input plugs.”

“my conclusion, there is a short between the seat and keypad. the on off function is sensitive, but once you learn to scan your finger across the right area, it works flawlessly, although with the remote on my nightstand i think i have only turned it on/off that way once or twice. hd picture quality is excellent, an amazing value at $289. Like PT Barnum said, there is a sucker born every minute. some folks have absolutely no techincal affinity. take the other reviews with a grain of salt. i am not sure why the other guy was po’ed b/c it only had one hdmi and the 1 or 2 ms response time? what is all that bunk. its a great little monitor for a bedroom tv or pc monitor – period. the only reason i didnt give it a five was i dont think any product is perfect. my recommendation, buy it without fear..”

“It’s been a headache, I’m not happy, and this panel may go back. I’m running off of my new Dell Precision with 64 bit Windows 7 and and ATI graphics card that has Display Port output. My first connection was with a male DP to male HDMI cable and it made the panel look terrible. Loading the Samsung driver didn’t help. Text was particularly bad, in spreadsheets and webpages. Calibrating didn’t help. The brightness and colors change a lot when viewed at only modest angles, like when viewing the panel from standing.”
