Dell is launching a new version of the Inspiron Mini 10 netbook in Europe. Dell Inspiron Mini 1018 Netbook is based on the Intel Pine Trail platform with support for DDR3. The new Dell Inspiron Mini 1018 has a starting price equal to 279 euros. The netbook sports a shiny black finish on the display lid. It is also available in a version to 299 euros, which differs only for the data storage space assigned to a SATA hard drive 250GB at 5400rpm.

Dell Inspiron Mini 1018 powered by Intel Atom N455 with 1.66 Ghz processor, 1GB of DDR3 memory, Intel GMA 3150 integrated graphic, 160GB or 250GB of HDD, 0.3M pixel webcam. As for connectivity and I/O, Dell threw in 10/100 LAN, optional Bluetooth 3.0, 802.11 b/g/n WiFi. It is running Windows 7 Starter Edition and a 3-cell or 6-cell battery, for a life of up to 7 hours and 18 minutes per charge, on the latter of course.
