Fujifilm Finepix Z700 was reportedly designed to feature a pet detection sensor. It recognizes when it’s being pointed at a dog or cat (using the “Auto Dog / Cat Detection” function) and instantly optimizes the focus and exposure.
This 12MP point-and-shoot is the first to include FujiFilm’s pet detection software. Actually. it allows you to program it to store the parameters for up to 10 dog and cat faces. The goodies, there is also an auto-release function that will automatically get the shot when the pet is looking directly at the camera.
The camera was tested at a camera show in Japan, it excelled at shooting stuffed animals but didn’t perform well when live animals thrown in front of the lens. And it also failed to track animals when they’re moving around. This will come soon for about $280 only.
