New Potato Technologies has announced their FLPR universal remote control which is a new ‘accessory+app’ that transforms iPhone and iPod touch into a universal remote control.
FPLR claim that it’s 14,000 entries in it’s device database makes this system far easier than others as there is no need to program each of the devices. FLPR is apparently dead easy to set up. After purchasing the FLPR infrared interface and popping it into the iPhone/iPod touch dock connector, users simply download the free FLPR app from the App Store. Once the app is launched, choose the device “type,†select “brand,†“name it†and “use it.â€
FLPR support for a wide range of IR devices including your TVs, DVD/CD players, set-top/cable boxes, and even other home lighting and automation systems.The FLPR universal remote control is now available now and priced around $80.
