AirLive has unveiled the Air3G, a multifunction router capable of working with USB-attached wireless broadband modems. The AirLive Air3G 802.11n multifunction 3G router boasts a high-performance Single Stream 11N radio which is touted to offer all-round wireless coverage of up to 500 meters. With Internet connection becoming a necessity for many households, the need of a secondary connection is increasing in order to maintain an uninterrupted Internet services to home or offices and 3G connections is the perfect backup to ADSL or cable services.
Other features include Multiple operating modes, Hotspot Authentication, PoE enable and meeting all the requirements of a Green AP, showing that AirLive truly care for the environment. An AC adapter ships with the router, although a POE port allows the device to be powered using a CAT5 Ethernet cable. AirLive also offers a 12V adapter for using the router in a vehicle.
The Air3G is compatible with Windows 2000, XP, Vista and Windows7 operating systems. The Air3G will be available from end of this month across the Middle East region.
