HP Spain have announced a new smartbook, the Compaq Airlife 100 and with it comes a bunch of other cost saving and performance ready options.
The Compaq Airlife 100 is going to offer some more than awesome features. You can expect a 10.1-inch touchscreen display, a 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, a 16GB SSD, Wi-Fi and 3G connectivity, SD card slot, webcam, full QWERTY keyboard, and Android OS running neatly in the background.
Together with some useful shortcut keys around the trackpad, HP have also loaded up their own touchscreen UI
Users will also be happy to learn that the device can operate for 12 hours on a single charge, with a huge 10 days of standby time, better than most Smartphones currently found on the market. According to the press release, the Airlife 100 was developed in partnership with Telefonica, as per the strategic partnership the two signed in 2009.No pricing details have been leaked so far but you can expect this machine to be available for less if purchased with data plans from Telefonica, and other European carriers.
