Panasonic Toughbook H1 Field – Rugged Tablet PC

Panasonic introduced the Panasonic Toughbook H1 Field, a rugged handheld tablet computer. The new Panasonic Toughbook H1 Field gets the optional Qualcomm Gobi2000 mobile broadband technology allowing multi carriers connectivity, the IP65 and MIL-STD-810G certification – with a six foot drop rating-, Smartcard, RFID and barcode readers, making the device highly mobile and productive in extreme conditions.
The Toughbook H1 Field is based around a 1.86GHz Intel Atom Z540 processor and a 10.4-inch XGA sunlight-viewable dual-touch LCD, which responds to both finger control and input from an active stylus. The Toughbook H1 Field offers six hours of battery life, complemented by twin hot-swappable batteries. Memory wise it has 2GB of RAM along with 64GB of storage provided by a solid state drive (SSD).

The device will be available worldwide in March 2010, for an estimated price of $3,379.
