LG has announced the CF3D, the world’s first full HD, 3D Single Lens Type Projector. LG says that the CF3D’s enhanced technology “gives consumers a more life-like viewing experience.” The projector incorporates LG’s Dual Engine and 3D Auto Picture Calibration technology which gives the CF3D improved colour correction, while HDMI upscaling reduces colour banding.

The CF3D’s can produce a 3D image from a single projector rather than requiring separate left and right images. What’s really interesting is the price: unlike previous systems, LG’s have a consumer focus and will be priced at around $10,000.
