Cowon are best known for their PMPs, has announced its new mobile internet device called the W2 at CES 2010. It would occupy the higher end of the spectrum with a 1.33GHz Atom and Windows 7 but would center on style with a relatively low-key, brushed metal design with only a few buttons. Consider Cowon’s latest MID, leaked back at the beginning of November: the W2. A 4.8-inch touchscreen device packing a resolution of 1024 x 600, it’s a wee bit bigger than an iPhone.
The device will also support  WiFi, Bluetooth and an ethernet port. Other specs include two full-sized USB 2.0 ports and a mini USB port, a USB device port (presumably for plugging the W2 into a computer and accessing it as an external drive) and integrated speaker and microphone. While, battery life and other details are still unknown as well as date and pricing were said.
