Just ahead of CES 2010, Samsung unveiled the NX series of hybrid cameras earlier this year. The Samsung NX10 comes along with removable lenses and a special system developed by Samsung that will separate it from the system that runs most of the SLRs these days. As promised, the compact NX10 is armed with a large 14.6 megapixel APS-C CMOS sensor along with a 3.0 inch AMOLED monitor, pop-up flash, and an electronic viewfinder. The NX10 also allows users to record in HD movie.
The Samsung NX10 has both in-depth manual controls and a Smart Auto function that automatically selects the best shooting mode based on the surrounding environment. Like the Micro Four-Thirds system cameras released last year by Panasonic and Olympus, Samsung’s NX cameras eliminate the mirror box found in the body of traditional DSLR cameras.
