McIntosh Laboratory just announced that their first standalone integrated audio system, the McIntosh MXA60, is now available. This is the 60th anniversary edition of McIntosh’s first-ever standalone integrated audio system and it’s supposed to have all the quality of larger systems in a compact package.
It pumps out 75 watts per channel that’s housed in a cast aluminum enclosure. Even better than the looks is the sound from the vacuum tube preamplifier. There’s a CD/SACD player, AM/FM tuner, and audio input for your portable music player. The entire case is metal with aluminum accents and a backlit glass faceplate. The analog dials dance back and forth with musical grace. The 60th Anniversary MXA60 Integrated Audio System is available now with an MSRP of $7,500
