Myka ION brings Intel Atom and ION graphics into the living room

Myka announced a new nettop built for your HDTV, called Myka ION.As the name indicated, the system is based on an NVIDIA ION chipset, providing enhanced graphics thanks to its in-built GeForce 9400 GPU . Since the ION is effectively an Ubuntu 9.10 mini ITX PC, it can run popular media manager software Boxee and XMBC alongside the Hulu desktop client — a bit of useful software which neither Boxee nor XMBC can actually run themselves.

The Myka ION nettop is equipped with an Intel Atom 330 Dual Core processor with a clock speed of 1.6GHz, nVidia MCP7A-ION chipset, 4GB of DDR2 RAM and Integrated NVIDIA GeForce 9400M GPU with supports a maximum screen resolution of 1920×1440 pixels. Video can be outputted to a display via VGA, DVI, or HDMI and the audio can ride on either optical or dig-COAX digital channels or over analog outputs. There is even a wireless network option, along with a Blu-ray drive and various hard drive size options.

Basic configuration of Myka Ion (without wireless capabilities and Blu-ray drive, but with a 160GB hard drive) is costs $379. Cost with all the options will cost $769.
