The long talked about dual boot Android, Windows XP Acer netbook is ready to come out. Acer and Amazon announced pre-sales for the first Android-powered netbook running on an Intel Atom. And, just now Acer made the dual boot Acer Aspire One AOD250 netbook official. The 10.1-inch Aspire One AOD250 with Android and Windows XP lets you switch between Android and Windows XP Home operating systems with just a click of a mouse. Booting into Android is an instant process, according to Acer, while XP will take the usual minute or so.
The 10.1-inch netbook has CrystalBrite LED-backlit screen and a near full-size keyboard. Other hardware specifications are 1.66GHz Intel Atom N280 processor, 1GB DDR2 RAM, 160GB hard drive, integrated Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 950, webcam, WiFi b/g, Bluetooth and 6-cell battery for up to 9 hours battery life. Ports present on the netbook are 3 USB, 1 VGA output, multicard reader, one headphone jack and one microphone jack.  The 10.1″ Acer Aspire One Android Netbook is now available for preorder in US, which includes free shipping, for only $350.
