SonoSite’s NanoMaxx ultrasound system has just received FDA approval, means means the gadget will be released stateside very soon. Based on SonoSite’s 4th generation Turbo technology, the six pound NanoMaxx system is the latest addition to SonoSite’s suite of specialized products for point-of-care visualization in medicine. It is able to be used in a variety of situations including busy clinics, ambulances, emergency rooms and other places where ultrasound is required.
The new ultra portable and one button design of the NanoMaxx system makes high quality ultrasound available to a much broader range of clinicians. The system incorporates SonoSite’s advanced proprietary imaging algorithms, including SonoMB(TM) and SonoAdapt(TM) to deliver superior image quality in a lightweight, rugged form factor. Additional features include a touchscreen display, a fast boot-up time of under 20-seconds and the ability to be used with five transducers to support a wide range of examinations and procedures.
