Sigma DP1s 14MP camera unveiled

Sigma releases the Sigma DP1s high definition digital camera, packing the full spec of a DSLR into the body of a compact camera. It is an improved version of DP1 compact DSLR camera, which appeared last spring. Sigma DP1s is equipped with 2.5-inch LCD display with a resolution of 230K pixels and can capture video in a resolution of 320×240 pixels at 30 frames per second.
The camera incorporates the same TRUE Image Processing Engine and the same APS-C sized SMOS image sensor as its predecessor, the FOVEON X 3 direct sensor which can output 4.7-megapixel (2652×1768-pixel) digital phototgraphs without Bayer interpolation. It is now possible to allocate the QS (Quick Set) function, which has been adopted by the DP2 and SD14 DSLR, to the digital zoom buttons of the DP1s.
New Sigma DP1s has a fixed lens focal length (16.6 mm) and aperture (4). It is included with Sigma Photo Pro software to work with digital images. Sadly, the price is not informed, however, rumored, it will be available in November.
