General Imaging reveals G3WP waterproof camera

General Imaging has added waterproof point-and-shoot digital camera to its rather obscure line-up. The G3WP is a 12-megapixel compact with a 4x optical zoom boasting features such as face, blink and smile detection, as well as auto scene detection and “Pan Capture” for panoramic shots.
The G3WP also comes with custom underwater modes, with its casing letting users take it down to a depth of three metres. A 2.7″ LCD round the back lets you preview your photographs of seaweed and sand and maybe the odd jellyfish at a decent level of clarity. PictBridge is supported for direct-to-printer output, and users get a number of shooting modes for capturing particular events.
Additional features of this rudimentary digital camera include Face Detection with smile and blink detection, electronic image stabilization, red-eye removal, and sensitivity down to ISO 3200.The camera has 116MB of built-in memory, but supports SDHC cards up to 8GB in capacity.
